Chow Down for Charity

HOBNOB strives to be a good neighbor in every community we're a part of.. One way we do that is by supporting community groups like schools, sports teams, animal shelters and other nonprofits through our Chow Down for Charity program.

Chow Down for Charity makes fundraising easy. Just pick a date, gather your supporters at the restaurant, eat your favorite foods and your organization gets 20% of the event sales.

Some of the organizations we partner with:

K–12 Schools (PTAs/PTOs, STEM Clubs)
University Groups (Intramural Sports, College Radio)
Youth Sports Teams (Little League, Soccer, etc.)
Libraries and Community Centers
Non-Profits (American Cancer Society, Animal Shelters)
Food and Sustainable Agriculture Groups (Future Farmers, Community Gardens)

If your request falls into one of these categories (or one similar) and meets the following guidelines, please submit an application through the link below. If your request is approved, we will be in contact within 10 days.

How it Works

Apply

• Fill out the application below to request the date and location for your event.

• Please have the organization's Tax ID / Employer Identification Number (EIN) available.

• Once the form is submitted, we will contact you within one week

• Please note we need at least four weeks notice in order to schedule your event. This is to give our restaurants time to prepare and you time to promote your fundraiser.

Promote

• When your request is approved, you will receive a custom flyer to use to promote your event. You can hand these out at functions leading up to your event, email them to your database and post on social.

• Please note that flyers may not be distributed on or around the restaurant during the event.

Eat

• On the day of your fundraiser, dine in and mention the fundraiser to your server.

• In order for purchases* to count towards your fundraiser, your supporters must either:

Verbally tell their server of their participation
Show the physical fundraiser flyer
Show the digital flyer

Earn

• Your organization will receive a check for 20% of the total sales from your supporters' orders.

• The check will be mailed to the address in your application within 60 business days of your fundraiser.

*Orders placed for a different date/location than your scheduled event will not count towards your fundraiser.

Disclaimers: * Important Note: All flyer distribution promoting your fundraiser must take place prior to the fundraiser. No flyers may be distributed on the restaurant property including in the parking lot. * Guarantee: We can make no guarantees as to the amount contributed to your organization. The success of your fundraiser is dependent on the effort put out by your group in distributing the custom flyers (supplied by us) and encouraging participation from your supporters. * Method: Our Marketing Department will create and email a custom flyer for your organization to use. This is the only flyer you may use for your fundraiser. The organization is responsible for making copies and handing out the flyers. For each supporter who brings in a custom flyer, we will donate 20% of the amount of the supporter's meal check (pre-tax and tip) to your organization. A check will be issued in the organization's name and mailed to the address provided. Please note that we can only issue a check to the organization benefiting from the fundraiser, not to an individual. Please allow 60 business days from the date of the fundraiser for the check to arrive. * 20% of the total net sales from your designated and registered fundraising event will be donated to your approved organization. Fundraising event details and available dates and times for fundraising events will vary by location. Catering orders and orders placed on third party delivery sites are excluded and will not count towards the total net sales from your designated fundraising event. This offer will be void if flyer is distributed in or near the participating restaurant on the night of the event. Fundraising events may be cancelled without notice due to abuse, error, fraud, computer error, electronic or technical malfunctions, or other unforeseen or unintended circumstances.
