About the Owners
Brothers Sean and Gilbert Yeremyan were born and raised in Turkey with Greek and Armenian heritage. The combined cultures helped foster a love for food at an early age. They studied hospitality in Turkey, Brussels and eventually at Mercer University in the United States and settled in Atlanta in 1997. Although they have lived around the world and speak several languages, they brought a taste of their heritage to Atlanta when they opened Gilbert's in Midtown in 2000, first as an international gourmet market, and then expanded in 2001, as a restaurant with a full bar. Today they have incorporated the neighborhood friendly feel of Gilbert's into their second restaurant, HOBNOB, featuring comfort pub cuisine.
Like the name implies, HOBNOB is a watering hole providing a warm and inviting neighborhood atmosphere for lunch and dinner nightly as well as weekend brunch and Midnight Specials.
